Alrighty sooooo here is a rant. Regarding Christian Fundamentalists. I am reading this article here, and the statement came up and it was, "Let me shock you further and illustrate how some of these God-haters think"
God-haters? How can an atheist be a god hater? It is, by definition of atheism alone, impossible. Atheists do not believe in any god. So how can you hate something that, in your mind, doesn't exist?
If atheists are "God-haters", then Christians are Tooth Fairy haters. Or Troll haters. Or Unicorn haters. Theists who call atheists "God-haters" ask yourselves this: Do you hate unicorns? Do you hate the easter bunny? Do you hate santa claus?
The "wtf" look thats probably on your face is the same thing I got when I saw the statement abotu "God-haters". It is impossible to hate something that you do not believe exists. If you hate it, then you believe it exists, otherwise there is nothing there to hate.
What we do hate are people who preform psychological child abuse on their children by trying to keep them doing right by a God who will condemn you to the worst place imaginable if you dont. We hate people who want our children to believe their version of the truth, because you must call Christianity a version of the truth, if it isnt a version of the truth, then there would be no other people claiming anything different, however Islamics, Jews, and Catholics, all claim that their faith is truth.
